Shopmobility is a scheme which lends manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and powered scooters to members of the public with limited mobility to shop and to visit leisure and commercial facilities within a town, city or shopping centre.

All schemes operate slightly differently; some provide Shopmobility as a free service while others make a charge. Most schemes welcome any donations you wish to make. Each scheme varies so it is important to contact the scheme you wish to visit, prior to using the service.

A member of staff or volunteer will give you all the information you need.

Shopmobility UK is a UK registered Charity. It exists to support and promote its affiliated schemes to existing and potential customers, and encourages the development of new Schemes.

In addition Shopmobility UK will do whatever it can to facilitate public access and offer related guidance and information. Make sure that you check any Shopmobility Scheme you use is affiliated to Shopmobility UK before you use them. Simply ask them if they are affiliated and if they are to show you their current Certificate of Affiliation.
